Happy New Year

Posted in Uncategorized on January 7th, 2009 by Anne – 3 Comments

Hallo and a happy new year for everybody!

I hope that there are still people checking on my blog after this long time. I guess I have shifted my priorities away from sharing everything with people all around the world to spending more time with people that are right here with me. I know that this is mean for the people who are away right now, and that’s why I’ll try to post more regularly again.

I will start this new blogging period with a short update on all the things I’ve done since my last post.

  1. Going to  Munich, helping my friend Tommy move and using the chance to meet a lot of my friends from university there.

Moving with German Rail

Posted in Uncategorized on October 6th, 2008 by Anne – 1 Comment

Yesterday I was finally moving again, at least partially. I decided not to take the car down to Stuttgart, because of the ridiculous gasoline prices, but to take the German Rail and to send some stuff via mail.

I knew it before, but it was still a hassle! On a Sunday evening after a long weekend (on Friday was German Reunion Day) going west is like hell. Doing this with that much luggage is even more crazy!

But after a lot of delays and no space for anything inside the train, I finally arrived in Stuttgart and my friend Ulf was catching from the train station. I am staying at his place till Thursday and then finally move into my room.

Post-Olympic-Feeling

When I came home from my trip to Aachen, a wonderful little package was waiting on my desk for me. It came nearly directly from Beijing (with a short detour to Canada) and brought me an Olympia-T-shirt, a Olympics-Flag and real Chinese wooden chopsticks!

Thank you so much Guan-Lu! Now I’m even more jealous about your trip, but I know you had a great time.

(If you want to know more about Guan-Lu’s trip to China, check out his blog!)

Art and Engineers

On my way through the web I found this funny piece of art yesterday. I really enjoyed watching it and wanted to share my joy with you. The RoboCup page is also worth a glace ;)

I like to learn about people who just do what they feel like doing and it’s just incredibly good and creative ….

Had anybody heard about Raffaello D’Andrea before?! Let me know!
