By now, most of you will know it, but I think its still worth a post.

On Monday I will start to work as a research assistance in Berlin with Joerg Raisch and hopefully produce some useful staff to get a PhD degree somehow, sometime (probably not so soon ;) ). So if you stick around our capital city during the next years, give me a call and I will be happy to host you :)

Beautiful Snow

Since sorting pictures is a hell lot of work and packing everything into boxes takes forever, I will keep you busy with some more recent events for now ;)

After I came back to Germany I was totally happy that all that snow was still there waiting for me.  So one of the first things I did was going cross country skiing with my mom over the fields around my hometown Erfurt. The sun was shining, we rarely met anybody and it was just very beautiful!

Unfortunately the snow started melting two days later, so I guess this was my only winter experience for this year ;)

I did it…

Lebkuchen.. I bought gingerbread in October O:)

Usually I’m always complaining that the supermarkets are full of such Christmas stuff even in summer. But this year is special. I won’t have gingerbread for Christmas. Therefore I have to pre-eat it, don’t I?! ;)

And it is sooooooooooooooooooo good! The package was finished in no time O:)

Tharandter Wald

tw_01 Since we where sitting inside the whole week we decided on a short trip into the nature on Sunday even though it was raining. So we additionally tested our recently waterproofed jackets and boots. They are waterproof :)

We decided to visit the Forest Park (Forstbotanischer Garten) in Tharandt of the TU Dresden. It was a nice walk in the forest and there where also trees which where especially colourful these days. Every tree and bush was labeled and so you could also learn something about them if you wished.  You have no idea what funny names trees can have ;)

If you are in the area, a visit is recommended!

Klassentreffen

zugeschnittenWhen I think about it, I can’t really believe it, but its already five years ago, when I graduated from high school. This fact was a reason for some people of my former school, to organise a coming together in Erfurt. Since, for a change, I’m not too far away from home to come over for a weekend-visit, I decided to go. Not everybody I hoped for seeing, made it to the reunion, but I still met a lot of people I haven’t seen since five years. In a way everybody changed a bit, but in the end, its just the same it has always been. :)
