Autumn, Chestnuts and many Pumpkins

Kuerbi Lately, I realize more and more that autumn is coming to Germany. Colored leaves, chestnuts, cooler temperatures and more and more pumpkins laying around in supermarkets and on public markets. So I decided that it’s time to make a pumpkin soup again. Usually, I’m using Hokkaido Pumpkins to make a soup, but this time, Christian found a Butternut Pumpkin in the supermarket and thought it looks funny, and therefore bought it and so it was processed into soup as well. And what should I say, this pumpkin is amazing! If you make your next soup, you should definitely try to add some of this sort. It gives the soup a slightly “nuttily” taste. Add some white wine and some salt and you are done! Its incredibly easy and tasty :)
The carved punpkin you see in the picture, is just for decoration. These kind of pupkins nearly only consits of seats, so you can not really use them for making a soup. But it was fun to carve it anyway :)
